Woodlands Restaurants is one of the first authentic Indian vegetarian restaurants in London, it has three branches (Marylebone, Piccadilly and Hampstead) and has continued to be a favourite amongst Londoners, expats and tourists from all over the world since 1981. It has been rated by The Evening Standard as the top 5 Indian restaurants in London and critically acclaimed by many others over the years.
Woodlands in London was opened by Mr. Ranjit Sood in 1981 as part of a Government of India approved joint venture with the famous Woodlands Restaurants & Hotels Group from India which dates back to 1938. An ex investment banker, Rajat Sood is the current Managing Director and heir of this restaurant group.
