Women’s Golf Day (WGD) is a global golf initiative launched in 2016 to introduce women of all ages to the game and encourage existing female golfers to “tee it up” in a fun and highly inclusive environment. What started as a one-day, four-hour event, in 2016 is now a week long celebration allowing registered locations to host events any day during the last Tuesday in May to the first Tuesday in June, known as Women's Golf Week. To date WGD events have been hosted in over 1,300 locations in 84 countries. WGD has introduced thousands of new golfers to the sport while transcending language, culture, religion, and race to celebrate golf, women, and community. WGD has created an incredible global community and has the support of the major golfing governing bodies and organization. WGD’s primary hashtag #WomensGolfDay received more than 1 million global engagements and 2 million impressions on social media.
