Women in Film & Television-Toronto (WIFT-T) is a not-for-profit professional organization founded in 1984. Our programming supports the career advancement of women in Canada's screen media industry—film, television, digital media. From intensive certificate programs (designed in collaboration with accredited post-secondary institutions) to workshops and incubators; mentoring initiatives to must-attend networking events, we ensure that women are well-equipped to lead and thrive as professionals, leaders, and entrepreneurs.
Signature professional development intensives include: Media Business Essentials (Humber College), Corus Media Management Accelerator (Chang School of Continuing Education, Ryerson University), and Media Leadership Program (Schulich School of Business, York University).
Premiere events: Showcase (screening night of members' works), Reception@TIFF (an invite-only soiree celebrating women's achievements in cinema), and Crystal Awards Gala (a toast to trailblazers in Canada's screen industry).
