Women Writing for (a) Change, Jacksonville, is a writing community in Jacksonville and St. Augustine formed with one purpose: To nurture and celebrate the individual voice by facilitating supportive writing circles and by encouraging people to craft more conscious lives through the art of writing and the practices of community.
Expressive writing in all forms is honored at WWf(a)C: journaling, fiction, poetry, prose, essay, and collage. We offer core writing classes on a semester basis, and we also offer one-day workshops and longer retreats for corporate clients. Corporate applications include, transitions management, HR retreats, team development. For medical institutions, we offer "care of the caregiver" workshops, narrative medicine techniques, and deep listening facilitation. For alcohol and drug rehabilitation institutions, we offer care of the caregiver writing circles, workshops for management, webinars, article development, community-building, curriculum development, blog posts, and writing circle programming for clients.
