As a manager of a customer service center, among other things having had assumed responsibility for all back-office processes of more than 100,000 customer inquiries per year, the answers to these questions were implemented by me. We followed the vision to become a future-oriented and competitive healthcare company. One solution I implemented was the relocation (outsourcing) of back office processes to a shared service center in Eastern Europe. This solution was developed as part of strategic considerations, for which there are separate departmental units within the company. What I experienced was that the impact on employees and processes was insufficiently considered and especially the time required for implementation was totally underestimated.
