Wine Ark commenced its presence in the wine industry in 1999 with a single wine storage site in the inner Sydney suburb of Camperdown. At the time, the managed storage product was new to the Australian market and caught the attention of many avid wine collectors. The ability to have your wine sent to one location, have your inventory online whilst being able to sell your wine on the internet was revolutionary at the time.
Within a few years Wine Ark had expanded to Sydney’s North Shore and Eastern Suburbs along with the introduction of private vault storage. Not long after, these sites were at capacity and in 2008 Wine Ark was acquired by National Storage.
Since then, the Wine Ark brand can be seen nationally across 15 sites and growing.
Wine Ark has built its brand and reputation, not just as a top tier climate-controlled logistics provider, but an integral part of the greater wine trade. With millions of bottles in storage, the Wine Ark sales team assists storage clients in rehoming their excess aged wines back to the client base and top end iconic restaurants that appreciate wines of guaranteed provenance.
For the past 15 years Wine Ark has been Spearheaded by John Cuff, who has had decades of experience at the pointy end of the wine industry. Wine Ark has developed an extensive network within the greater trade allowing us to leverage brilliant relationships to gain access to cellarable and consumption-based wines, both domestic and international. Thus, giving us the opportunity to offer these wines to our loyal client base, assisting them in acquiring cellar staples along with products from new and innovative producers.
Wine Ark has built its reputation on personal service to likeminded peers whilst fostering long term relationships. As you can appreciate, wine cellarage is a long-term passion for many and Wine Ark, continues to grow our brand and offering to the market.
