Westcountry Rivers Trust (WRT) is a charity established in 1994 to protect, enhance and restore the Westcountry’s rivers and freshwater environments.
It was the first rivers trust and plays a strategic role as part of the rivers trust network across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Its #WestcountryCSI project, created in 2016, is inspiring and informing the development of river-based citizen science in the region, and beyond.
The Trust works at all geographic scales from the riverbank to entire catchments.
