West Coast Christian Writers (WCCW), aims to equip and encourage writers of all levels in the craft and business of writing for publication through an annual conference offering quality instruction, industry updates, community, and personal inspiration. WCCW is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation.
Our mission: To inspire, encourage, and equip Christian writers to take the next, faith-filled step in their unique writing journey.
We host an annual writers’ conference in the California Bay Area. In 2019, West Coast Christian Writers Conference will be February 14-16.
In 2020, the LIT Masterclass for intermediate-to advanced writers will be February 15.
WCCW is affiliated with Inspire Christian Writers and operates under Inspire's 501(c)(3).
WCCW, formerly the Christian Writers Seminar, was founded by Pastor Jon Drury, who directed the seminar for 21 years as a ministry of Redwood Chapel in Castro Valley. The first Christian Writers Seminar was in 1993 with Ethel Herr as the keynote speaker. Other past keynoters include James Scott Bell, Cecil Murphey, and Francine Rivers.
