The firm of Watson McNamara & Watt initially commenced providing legal services to the residents of Armidale in 1970 under the name of W Watson, Solicitor.
In the early 1970s the founder of the firm, Bill Watson, was joined in partnership by Joe McNamara and the firm became Watson & McNamara.
In 1979 Rod Watt (who is the current Principal) was admitted to the partnership and the firm became known by its current name, Watson McNamara & Watt. In 1991 Bruce Atkinson joined the firm as a Partner and remained with the firm until his retirement in July 2014.
Watson McNamara & Watt is a country based law practice which provides legal advice across a wide spectrum of law, including the areas of property
law, criminal law, compensation claims, family law and generalised litigation, conveyancing and commercial work, Wills, Partnership Agreements, Powers of Attorney, Deeds of Appointment of Guardian, and Probate work.
Watson McNamara & Watt is located on the first floor of the historic Imperial Hotel, in the centre of the Armidale business precinct, adjacent to the Armidale Post Office.
Since 1970, Watson McNamara & Watt has continued to provide a high level of service to the residents of the New England region, in particular the residents of Armidale, Guyra and Uralla, and the smaller towns that surround Armidale including Ebor and Bundarra.
