Waterborne Transport Institute, Ministry Of Transport

Founded in 1956, Waterborn Transport Institute is a comprehensive research institute affiliated to the Ministry of Transport, China, specialized in waterborne transport research, consultancy, project designing, product development and specialized training. At the national level, WTI mainly focuses on macro-analysis and decision support on the waterborn transport industry. Shipping/port development strategies, environment protection, MIS, port autumation systems are also included in the principle works. Several specialized committees are also set in WTI, including - National Technical Committee on Freight Container Standardization; Dangerous Goods Transportation Committee of China Institute of Navigation; Container Transportation Committee of China Institute of Navigation; Ship Pollution Prevension Committee of China Institute of Navigation.
