Water is fundamental to the wellbeing and prosperity of humanity. As water touches every part of daily life, its management is complex. Coupled with issues such as climate change, water scarcity and transboundary challenges, water resource management has become a lot more complicated. Yet, governments have been regulating the world’s water resources in much the same way for hundreds of years. However, with water continuing to be ranked among the greatest societal risks, there is a growing pressure for change. Water Ledger is a leader in the digital transformation of water - looking at old problems with new eyes, reimagining solutions, and leveraging the opportunity and potential of distributed ledgers (blockchain) and smart contracts. Our goal is to revolutionise water resources management and build next generation solutions for water - underpinned by indisputable accountability between water we have, the water we use - how much, by whom, where, and when, the water we share, and the value we exchange.
