WRIQ is Queensland’s waste and recycling industry association representing the operators of the sector delivering high quality, safe and sustainable services to government, business and the general public. WRIQ members provide an essential community service for all Queenslanders in the responsible handling, safe removal, processing, treatment and disposal of all wastes, including solid, liquid, regulated and hazardous materials. The industry has more than $2 billion dollars of assets invested and under management in Queensland, and contributes more than $1.5 billion to the state's economy annually.
