What is the SHRM Washington State Council and what does it do?
· Like all state councils, the SHRM Washington State Council is an autonomous entity that operates as an affiliate of SHRM.
· The SHRM Washington State Council is responsible directly to the Pacific West Region and indirectly to the national SHRM Board of Directors.
· The SHRM Washington State Council Director is a member of the NHRMA and Pacific West Board of Directors.
· Volunteer leaders from around the state comprise the SHRM Washington State Council. Each Chapter President (Currently 17 in WA State) are members of the SHRM Washington State Council.
WA State Council Objective
· To support SHRM members in the state of Washington with activities and communications which enhance, support Chapter leadership, and address state-wide issues in human resource management.
