Waldegrave School is an Outstanding Ofsted rated comprehensive school based in Twickenham, South West London. The lower school takes girls between 11 - 16 years old, the Sixth Form is co-educational with 400 students. We employ around 160 members of staff.
Our commitment to excellence has placed the school on the Sunday Times Parent Power list for many years and in 2016 we were named Comprehensive School of the Year.
Our Waldegrave Charter for equality and diversity commits our whole school community to building a culture where everyone belongs, feels safe and is equipped to thrive. Our school includes diversity and representation across the curriculum. We offer a wide range of learning opportunities for students and staff, including lessons, assemblies, tutor time and staff training, to address issues of diversity, equity and inclusion to improve our understanding and fulfil our charter.
We firmly believe that the most successful students are those who really throw themselves into the life of the school. We offer after school activities ranging from sports clubs and chess clubs to student parliament and environment clubs.
Staff training at Waldegrave is highly valued by both teachers and support staff. A wide range of opportunities enables all our staff to be ambitious in their career aspirations and supports our staff to grow.
Our careers provision ensures that all students have access to a high-quality careers programme which meets the individual needs of students by providing encounters with employers, further & higher education providers, and experience in workplaces.
Waldegrave School is part of the Waldegrave Training Alliance (WTA), a group of Richmond Secondary Schools which provides supportive and tailored learning opportunities with partner universities Roehampton and St Mary’s.
