WageSafe’s genesis is to be found in the two founding companies and their experience delivering payroll audits, remediation services and software as a service. The disparity of systems, complexity of awards, manual intervention, and timeliness of process, resulted in brand and business reputational risk being exposed. Regulatory oversight resulted in the only alternative at the time to solve this being costly retrospective audits and remediation. Which may often be too late and then difficult to manage and usually ended up in the public news domain. WageSafe was then formed knowing there had to be a better way to help companies, owners, and boards within a complex industrial awards program and increasing reputation and financial risk.
WageSafe is a flexible, cloud-based SaaS platform that delivers a solution to this problem. Truly unique as it has been built as a Software as a Service that can handle multiple data source integrations (payroll and HR information and time and attendance systems). These are then interrogated and assessed through a proprietary developed award and agreement rules engine (interpreter) that is signed off by each client and updated as and when required. This WageSafe award interpreter, applies logic to each employee’s time and attendance records to enable a real-time comparison of ‘actual’ payroll (taken from the payroll system feed) versus ‘audited’ payroll results. The user interface is completely configurable to meet the need for heads up understanding as required by the client, whilst the drill down functionality allows an auditable record of actions taken.
