We identify social trends in the city and their effect on volunteers, social organizations and inhabitants of Amsterdam. We share this knowledge with the field, the municipality and researchers. We discuss national developments in the field of voluntary work. We want everyone to be able to contribute to Amsterdam's society. We do this by connecting, showing the way and making the value of volunteering visible. We are there for people who are looking for fun and meaningful voluntary work, as well as for civil society organisations and companies. With consultations, practical information, workshops and training courses, our advisers help social organizations and initiatives to develop further and to work successfully with volunteers. Our online vacancy database contains about 1500 volunteer jobs in the city. From buddy for a refugee to cooking in a community center, from singing with the elderly to caring for animals at a petting zoo. We help Amsterdammers on their way online or through a personal conversation to make a choice that fits their talents, wishes and agenda.
