Visit Cambridge and Beyond is the official Destination Management Organisation (DMO) for Cambridge and the surrounding areas. Our purpose is to grow the value of the visitor economy by promoting Cambridge and the surrounding area and providing the best possible visitor experience. Our Vision is that Cambridge will be recognised and celebrated globally as a world class leisure and business destination and that we will be the leading voice for the visitor economy for Cambridge and the surrounding area. Tourism brings in the region of £583 million to the Cambridge economy and £2 billion to the broader Cambridge area - accounting for around 17% of local employment. We believe that the Visit Cambridge and Beyond business model is distinct from many other DMOs nationally, as it relies almost entirely on earned income. We are a membership organisation working on behalf of currently over 350 tourism organisations. In addition we operate the Green and Blue Badge Official Guided Walking Tour service and Cambridge Visitor Information Centre. We will work with our partners to improve the experience for visitors, encouraging them to stay longer, explore further, and spend more; therefore maximising the benefits of the ‘Cambridge’ brand for the broader area.
