Since 1995, the Viola Startzman Clinic (VSC) has served as a trusted resource for affordable healthcare services in our community. The VSC provides high-quality, comprehensive medical and dental care, psychiatric care, lab testing, wellness education, medications, case management and much more to clinic patients.
The VSC was originally founded as a free clinic, serving low income patients who had no health insurance and no access to affordable healthcare services. Today, the VSC is proud to have maintained a focus on caring for vulnerable patients, while expanding access to anyone in the community who needs care. All patients are welcome at the VSC, regardless of income, insurance status or ability to pay. Most insurances are accepted, a sliding fee scale is available to help residents of Wayne and Holmes County acces affordable care, and we work with any patient to make care accessible and affordable.
The VSC is an independent non profit organization, and not affiliated with any health system or hospital. Our dedicated team of staff and volunteers are licensed, experienced and highly qualified to meet the needs of our patients.
Everyone is welcome at the VSC! Whatever your race, you are welcome. Whatever your sexual orientation, you are welcome. Whatever your citizenship status, you are welcome. Whether your insurance status, you are welcome. Whatever language you speak, you are welcome. Everyone is welcome here.
The VSC is a proud partner of United Way of Wayne and Holmes Counties as well as the Orrville Area United Way. The VSC is a member of the Charitable Healthcare Network of Ohio, the National Association of Free & Charitable Clinics, the Ohio Rural Health Association and the National Association of Rural Health Clinics.
