Since its inception in 1922 the Valero Texas Open has brought the biggest names in golf to the Alamo City and raised over $136 M for hundreds of worthy charities over its 97+ years. Showcasing the best that Texas and San Antonio have to offer, the Valero Texas Open is much more than a sporting event...it's a social event! The place to see and be seen. April 4-7, 2019, 144 of the world's top professionals will take on The Oaks Course at TPC San Antonio and compete for their share of the $7.5 million purse. Walter Hagen, Byron Nelson, Sam Snead, Arnold Palmer, Ben Crenshaw, Lee Trevino, Nick Price, Justin Leonard, Zach Johnson, Adam Scott, Jimmy Walker and Andrew Landry have all been crowned Texas Open champ.
