VOYCE, formerly called the Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program, strives toward a high quality of life for those living on the long-term care continuum by empowering and educating individuals and families in Greater St. Louis and northeast Missouri. VOYCE is a proud member agency of United Way.
VOYCE fulfills its mission as an advocate and information source in the city of St. Louis and the counties of St. Louis, St. Charles, Franklin and Jefferson as well as the following 16 northeast Missouri counties: Adair, Clark, Knox, Lewis, Lincoln, Macon, Marion, Monroe, Montgomery, Pike, Ralls, Randolph, Schuyler, Scotland, Shelby and Warren.
VOYCE offers advocacy services to the 28,000 individuals who reside in more than 300 skilled nursing, assisted living and residenital care facilities. More than 50% of these individuals have no one to advocate on their behalf. VOYCE also delivers options to those making long-term care decisions through its free VOYCEconnect service. As the demand for long-term care continues to grow, an estimated 70% of those 65 and older will need long-term care.
