VAUNET ist der Spitzenverband der Audio- und audiovisuellen Medien in Deutschland mit Sitz in Berlin und Büro in Brüssel. Zu den vielfältigen Geschäftsfelder der rund 160 Mitgliedern gehören TV-, Radio-, Web- und Streaming-Angebote. Die privaten audiovisuellen Medien sind Motor der Kreativwirtschaft und einer der größten Wirtschaftssektoren in Deutschland. Die Verbandsarbeit richtet sich an den konvergenten Märkten für audiovisuelle Medien aus und gestaltet auf nationaler wie europäischer Ebene die Rahmenbedingungen aktiv mit. Der Wirtschaftsverband hat zum Ziel, Akzeptanz für die wirtschaftlichen Anliegen der audiovisuellen Medien zu schaffen sowie die gesellschaftspolitische und kulturelle Bedeutung der Branche im digitalen Zeitalter ins Bewusstsein zu rücken. Video und Audio bilden die Klammer des Namens VAUNET, Net steht für Network und unterstreicht die Bedeutung, Allianzen zu bilden. VAUNET is the leading organisation for audiovisual media in Germany, with its headquarters in Berlin and an office in Brussels, it has been operating under the name VAUNET – German Media Association since 21 May 2018. The fields of business in which its 160 member companies operate are highly varied, ranging from TV and radio to internet and streaming offerings. VAUNET represents the interests of the commercial audiovisual industry, which is one of the largest business sectors in Germany. The Association's activities focus on development in the markets for audiovisual media and play an active role in shaping the relevant parameters at both a national and European level. The aim of the trade association is to create acceptance for the economic concerns of audiovisual media and raise awareness of the major sociopolitical and cultural significance of this industry in the digital age
