Urbien is for apps what Hollywood is for movies. We set out to a create Web App ecosystem, where developers, designers, marketeers and the rest of the app cast can make money by creatively applying their talents. Like many prior Internet fortunes, we plan to build ours on a major technology shift. The Web is shifting from Web Services to Web Database. This is not your daddy's Semantic Web designed by the standards body. This shift is going under the radar as it was rather unintentional. It is happening as Mobile Web, is trying to gain the ground back from the native mobile apps. But inadvertently it is setting the stage for innovation bigger than the Social Web.
