BACKGROUND
The Great Northern Concrete Toboggan Race (GNCTR) is the largest engineering competition in Canada. The first race was held in Red Deer in 1975, where the University of Calgary was one of four competing teams. The competition has now grown to over twenty universities which compete annually; we are proud to say that the competition had it’s first team from the United States join in the 2014 season!
