Founded in 1916, the Union Activities Board was the first student organization established at MSU. The Campus Center was founded in 1999 and provided late-night weekend entertainment. These two organizations joined in 2001 to form the University Activities Board (UAB). In 2016 UAB Celebrated its 100th Anniversary programming for the Spartan Community. The University Activities Board provides quality social, recreational and educational programs planned and implemented by students, for students in the MSU community. UAB provides free or low-cost entertainment for students and serves as an alternate late night / weekend entertainment choice. UAB is committed to the personal, professional and educational development of its members.
In order to produce our many programs, UAB receives approximately one-third of its operating budget from the Division of Residential and Hospitality Services. The remaining portion of the budget comes from corporate sponsorships, fundraising events and vendor sales. UAB does not receive any funding from student tax dollars.
