Listed among the three largest and most important Brazilian universities, UNESP stands out as an example of a multicampus institution. It is formed by a structure of 34 units in 24 cities in the state of São Paulo. To have an idea of its regional distribution, if a circle with a radius of 100 kilometers is drawn around each of these 24 cities, it will cover almost the whole map of the state.
As one of three public universities maintained by the government of the state of São Paulo, UNESP offers quality education for over 55 thousand students (undergraduate and graduate) in 63 professional careers and over 150 graduate programs in all fields of knowledge.
