United Nation Association in Ethiopia (UNA-ET) endeavors to inform, inspire and engage all Ethiopian regarding the work, goals, and values of the United Nations to create a safer, fairer and more sustainable world. UNA-ET strives to inform the Ethiopian public in an impartial and critical manner about the objectives, institutions and activities of the United Nations. It intends to increase interest in and raise awareness for current events in foreign and development policy, cultural and world economic policy as well as international relations and developments in general. OUR VISION A future where the United Nations is more effective because more Ethiopians are engaged global citizens, dedicated to achieving the purpose of United Nation. OUR MISSION • Building support for the UN amongst Students, the youth, policymakers, opinion-formers and the public. We believe that a strong, credible and effective UN is essential if we are to build a safer, fairer and more sustainable world. We advocate strong government support for the UN and seek to demonstrate why the UN matters to people everywhere in Ethiopia. • We inform, inspire and engage all Ethiopians about the critical work, goals and values of the United Nations to create a safer, fairer and more sustainable world. THE OUTCOMES WE SEEK • A stronger United Nations that is more effective, proactive and appreciated. • Enhanced Ethiopian awareness, support and commitment to the critical role of the United Nations as the central pillar of the rules-based international order. • A positive Ethiopian contribution through the UN to strengthen the multilateral system and thereby enhance Ethiopia’s security, sustainability and prosperity.
