Unmediated: Lse'S Politics & Communications Research Journal

Non-canonical and thoroughly unorthodox, UnMediated is an interdisciplinary, student-led research journal. We welcome agitative and original works at the intersection of politics and communication, and are committed to generating new thinking and action on issues of personal and political import – from the rise of digitally-mediated nationalist enclaves to the estrangement of personhood in an era of ubiquitous data collection. Drawing from an international network of emerging academics, visual artists, community organizers, and writers, we understand that changes in the social and material environment at once influence and are influenced by divergent communications practices, and that engaged scholarship has the capacity to fundamentally re-shape the horizons of possibility.
