Ultraviolet Digital Entertainment Content Ecosystem (Dece)

DECE was a video industry member organization of Hollywood studios, leading video retailers, global consumer device brands, and an array of major and specialized technology companies, chartered to develop standards for the digital distribution of premium Hollywood content. DECE designed, built, and operated UltraViolet—a novel, industry-standard way for consumers to collect movies and TV shows, where cloud-based rights empowered them to watch their content anytime anywhere. UltraViolet was a centralized entitlement system that allowed users to create a free online library for purchasing digital media from multiple retailers. Users acquired, downloaded, and streamed content at participating services.
