As a sustainability project at the University of Florida, UF Biodiesel is committed to both open-source development and education.
The UF Biodiesel team goal is to collect used vegetable oil from campus dining facilities and process it to make biodiesel. Our fuel will meet critical ASTM standards and be used by the University's Physical Plant fleet.
Additionally, the UF Biodiesel Board of Directors consists of industry professionals with engineering, business, liberal arts and telecommunications experience. We are responsible for every aspect of operation, including business affairs, publicity, field work, and research.
At UF Biodiesel, our aim is to educate others about renewable energy technology while helping to make the UF community more sustainable. As we develop our semi-industrial plant, if you would like to learn more or get involved, please feel free to contact us.
