Tsui Wah started in 1967 as a small “Ice Café” on the streets of Mong Kok and developed into todays "Tsui Wah Restaurant" chain. The earlier Tsui Wah café was simple and only sold simple local coffee, milk tea, cakes and buns. We mainly served for the neighborhood and workers in the area.
As Hong Kong's economy took off, tastes also change. Many of you crave for more than just cakes and buns; therefore Cha Chaan Teng was created to cater to your needs. The first Tsui Wah Restaurant opened in San Po Kong, which has become our most historical location to date.
翠華由1967年旺角甘霖街一間小小冰室開始,發展到今天連鎖式經營的「翠華餐廳」。最早期的翠華冰室沒有賣弄什麼花巧,只有簡單的地道咖啡、奶茶、西餅和麵包,主要為附近賣雞蛋的工人提供一處落腳點。
隨著香港經濟起飛,時代及口味需求的轉變,食客更希望吃到西餅麵包以外的食物,茶餐廳因此應運而生,翠華亦不例外地跟上這股潮流。首間「翠華餐廳」位於新蒲崗,歷史最為悠久。由於多年來對於食物、環境及服務質素的堅持,使翠華吸納了一班長期忠實粉絲,他們不論男女老幼、膚色種族,時至今天仍與翠華保持像老朋友般的密切關係。
