Neville has been nominated for three Grammys for his musical films: Respect Yourself: The Stax Records Story, Muddy Waters Can’t Be Satisfied, and Johnny Cash’s America, and won an Emmy for Hank Williams: Honky Tonk Blues. His 2011 film Troubadours (about Carole King and James Taylor) premiered at The Sundance Film Festival. Pearl Jam Twenty, produced by Neville and directed by Cameron Crowe, was released theatrically in 2011. Recent films include the HBO documentary, Crossfire Hurricane chronicling the rise of The Rolling Stones, and 20 Feet from Stardom, the Oscar winning film and the top grossing documentary of 2013.
