We are an organisation like no other, operating in 35 countries across the world. For more than 30 years, Traidcraft has been fighting poverty through trade and in that time we've transformed millions of people's lives. We brought fair trade to the UK High Street. Our mission is to fight poverty through trade, practising and promoting approaches to trade that help under-privileged people in developing countries realise a brighter future. We do this by: - building lasting relationships with small-scale producers in developing countries - supporting people to trade out of poverty - working to bring about trade justice - being open and transparent about our practices. Company Overview Traidcraft fights poverty through trade, helping people in developing countries to transform their lives. We are UK-based with offices in India, Bangladesh and in East Africa. Established in 1979 as a Christian response to poverty, we combine a trading company and a development charity. We are the UK's leading fair trade company, we run development programmes in some of the poorest countries in the world, and campaign in the UK and internationally to bring about trade justice.
