Created in 1897, when it separated from the Town of Fremantle to become an independent local authority, the Town of East Fremantle now has a population of almost 8,000.
It is 3.2 square kilometres in area, bounded to the north and west by the Swan River. To the east it shares a common boundary with the City of Melville, to the south and west with the City of Fremantle.
The Town of East Fremantle acknowledges the traditional owners of the lands in which we operate and pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
