Torquay Girls' Grammar School

We have been educating bright girls from Devon for over one hundred years now. The outcomes for girls who come here are excellent; our academic results place us as one of the top schools nationally for both attainment and progress. Ofsted rate us as outstanding and our students go on to top universities, apprenticeships and employment opportunities. However, these facts do not convey the real essence of our school, which is more about a way of thinking. It is about helping bright girls to believe they can achieve anything and giving them the skills to do so. The truth is that the world is more difficult for women than it is for men, so our aim is to develop in our girls, the skills and confidence to overcome the barriers they will face. As the only state, selective girls' school in the area we believe that this is a very special and unique place for girls to succeed.
