Toronto Met Accounting (formerly known as RUAS) is a student organization within the Ted Rogers School of Management, Ryerson University.
TMA has the mission to provide all Accounting majors at Toronto Metropolitan University with the opportunity to network with industry professionals, employers, university faculty and peers. We are the course union and ‘voice’ of all TMU Accounting majors. The objectives of TMA are to provide students with a better understanding of the accounting profession, to provide networking opportunities for current and prospective accounting majors, and to represent Ryerson’s accounting students as a whole.
TMA helps over 1,300 full and part time accounting majors within the Ted Rogers School of Management (TRSM) connect with industry professional through its vast array of events. In addition, TMA is excited to welcome over 300 new students enrolled in the new School of Accounting & Finance.
To represent the student body, TMA has an executive team of 32 dedicated leaders with a broad range of skills and capabilities, all complementing one another to generate a strong team. Our goals and objectives are united— to improve the lives, experiences, and potential of all Ryerson’s accounting students. In addition to our committed executive team, RUAS also receives support from alumni and faculty advisement to assist in our day to day operations and strategic planning.
The Ted Rogers School of Management strives for continual growth and improvement to match students capabilities with employers’ needs. In 2011 the TRSM obtained Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation. This was a milestone for TRSM as only 5% of the worlds top business schools hold the AACSB accreditation.
