Founded by George Tierney at the end of World War II so that his sons returning from the War would have stable jobs waiting for them, Tierney Stationery Company was born. George's background was in Accounting and his motivation was "every business will always need paper and pens, let's provide those." As well as servicing our Commercial accounts, Tierney's operated a retail store in Westport until the late 90's. At that time the decision was made to focus entirely on our Commercial customers, and the rest is history. Four generations later, business is booming!
