O ThermoPhase – Fluid and Complex Systems Research Group (ThermoPhase – FCSRG) was created in 2019. It is bound to the Petroleum Engineering department at the University of the State of Santa Catarina (UDESC). The group is formed by several graduated and undergraduate students. The head of this research group is Professor Antonio Marinho B. Neto, Ph.D. The ThermoPhase is focused on developing research activities at the University and is prepared to tackle technological and scientific challenges for academic and industrial purposes. The research topics that have been designed include:
• Thermodynamics of complex fluids
• Flow assurance
• Wellbore engineering
• Optimization and computational modeling of complex systems
• Renewable energies
Our research group is also focused on providing continuous improvement for its members. Our members are our most valuable assets, and we are committed to delivering prepared and motivated professionals to the sector.
