Founded in 1922, Roosevelt High School provides a solid foundation for the academic and professional futures of its students. Roosevelt is one of 18 schools in the Partnership for Los Angeles Schools’ network (www.partnershipla.org). Roosevelt offers challenging academic courses, counseling support, enriching extracurriculars, music and art programs, and competitive athletics. Freshmen students join the Rider Academy, where they take five A-G college prep classes, including a groundbreaking ethnic studies course and many honors options. Through the Linked Learning pathways, Roosevelt students prepare for college and career in the areas of Medical and Health Science, Law and Public Service, and STEAM. With several university partnerships, the College Center inspires Rough Rider scholars to achieve their higher education and career dreams.
