The Sweater Festival

The Sweater Festival is a benefit concert to raise awareness of homelessness. The festival was founded in 2009 in Tel Aviv, and has been taking place each year since. The Sweater Festival brings together Israel's leading musicians each volunteering a performance. The entrance to the event is free of charge, and the audience is encouraged to bring with them donations of warm clothing and other necessary items. A successful social initiative attended by approx. 3,000 people each year, and in which approx. 1.5 tons of items are collected each year.
