The Star Trust is an East Midlands-based charity, run by local business owners and entrepreneurs, which supports smaller charities across the region.
The charity is backed by a team of high-profile patrons including: Tim Storer, (joint managing director at Pukka Pies,) Tony Hillary, (Hillarys Blinds) and Kavita Oberoi, (Oberoi Consulting and Oberoi Business Hub).
To date, the charity has donated £777,663 and supported 100 charities.
The Star Trust pledge to donate all the money raised from its events to good causes. The committee is made up of local business men and women meaning the costs of running the charity are underwritten, therefore 100% of the profits go to the charities.
