The Shipyard Software Studio

The Shipyard is a software development company i Malmö, Sweden with a unique and broad competence within open source development. We love what we do and always strive to deliver the best possible results to our clients and partners. We have worked with web development since 1999, but our earlier name, Örestad Linux, could be somewhat confusing due to the obvious associations with the Linux operating system. We have therefore decided to rename the software development section of Örestad Linux to The Shipyard. We take inspiration for our name from where our office is located, the old harbour in Malmö. They used to build boats here, today it’s we who build things. Not boats, but software solutions. We work with open source software. For our clients that means that there are no license fees to be paid with no compromise to either quality or security. Put simply: we build powerful solutions according to the needs of the client that work on all devices whilst keeping the user in focus.
