The Science Forum of Hindu College was instituted in 2008 by a group of inspired students and devoted faculty members to pursue science outside the classrooms and to facilitate open dialogue between the science departments of the college. Acknowledging the interdisciplinary nature of research, such a conversation between various science departments is crucial. Since its inception, the Forum has persevered in upholding its aims : organizing seminars by scientists, professors, and students from diverse fields of research, conducting workshops, quizzes, experimental design projects, paper presentations, and holding weekly discussions on general science topics. To inculcate a scientific temperament among students, and to effectively bring out science outside the classroom, we have planned and organized popular science events which have seen good participation in the past.
