Born in 2018, Satya Nutrition began with three undergraduate students in their dormitory at Johns Hopkins University. With a keen interest in nutrition and exercise, we were disturbed to learn about the crippling consequences of child malnutrition within Indian communities. In the field of weight lifting, mass gainer is a high energy supplement used for quick and effective weight gain. Our passion to translate the revolutionary advent of the mass gainer to the field of malnutrition brought us to the intersection of ready-to-use foods and linear programming. With the endorsement of the Johns Hopkins Center for Human Nutrition, we are now intent on using this synergistic approach to deliver low cost and easily reproducible ready-to-use foods to malnourished children in India and other low-resource communities around the world.
