The Roane Alliance is Roane County, Tennessee's economic development organization and is a 501©6 non-profit organization that is an umbrella over the Roane County Industrial Development Board, Visitors Bureau and Chamber. Each of the partner organizations have a Board of Directors, while the Roane Alliance Board also acts as the Joint Economic & Community Development Board (JECDB) for the county.
The Roane Alliance staff works to support the mission to create an environment that promotes job creation, economic development, enhanced quality of life, education and workforce development.

The Roane Alliance relies solely on the annual Gala fundraising event, annual contributions and rent paid by each of the partner organizations. We also partner and report to the Roane County Commission & City Councils of Harriman, Kingston, Oak Ridge & Rockwood.
The Roane Alliance also partners and collaborates with other economic development organizations regularly to help us meet our mission and some of those include:
• Education and workforce initiatives: Roane State Community College, Tennessee College of Applied Technology – Harriman, Roane County Schools
• Economic development initiatives: Tennessee Department of Economic Development, Tennessee Valley Authority, Oak Ridge National Lab, East Tennessee Economic Development Agency and the East Tennessee Development District
• Tourism, Quality of Life and Oak Ridge Corridor/Institute Initiatives: Tennessee Department of Tourist Development, Middle East Tennessee Tourism Council, City of Oak Ridge, Explore Oak Ridge and the Anderson County Tourism Council.
