The Prentice School is a 1-8 nonprofit, non-public school that educates students with learning differences, such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ADHD, ADD and anxiety, using a specialized approach and targeted teaching methods. Here, students are taught to embrace the differences in themselves and in others to build community while fostering connection, belonging, confidence and growth.
The Prentice School offers a breadth of unique features to meet the educational needs of our students, including:
• Specialized, research-based approach tailored to students’
needs
• Small class sizes and personalized instruction
• Fully credentialed teaching staff with advanced training in
teaching methods, including multi-sensory Instruction
• Methods and Structured Literacy using the classroom
adaptation of the Orton-Gillingham Approach
• Two licensed Speech and Language Pathologists (SLP) and
one licensed Occupational Therapist
• Educational Assistive Technology (EdAT) and tutoring services
• Before and after school care and after school clubs
