The Porter Public House

The Porter offers an authentic, old-style Public House atmosphere with only the best locally brewed Mississippi craft beer, familiar yet oddly original, thoughtfully prepared American Pub-style food as well as the most unique live entertainment experience in the area, all in the heart of Historic Downtown Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Our primary strategy is to develop The Porter as a downtown community hub for the craft beer drinkers who enjoy not only a good beer but a fresh, properly poured and local beer as well as casual and professional diners who are looking for something tasty and affordable in a relaxed, social atmosphere. We also want to become the most unique and widely known music and entertainment venue in the state of Mississippi, attracting the mass of music and entertainment lovers and the over 5,000 theatre, dance and music students from the University of Southern Mississippi.
