The National Center for Sustainable Development (“NCSD”), a national 501(C) (3) not-for-profit corporation was granted its nonprofit status in 2001 and was reaffirmed as a public charity in 2006.
Our Vision:
To help find suitable global solutions through physical demonstration of the power of cooperation through education. The ability to communicate across cultures and languages will bring with it benefits needed by all regardless of where new ideas or new ways of thinking come from. Taking action to cooperate and educate pulls down barriers between people and nations around the world.
Our Mission:
To help teach through example. Solutions need to be shared to have a meaningful impact on shared global problems in Education, Energy and the Environment. People, wherever they live need to see things work to believe in them. Many times great ideas never leave the drawing board because of a lack of implementation. Often implementation is due to a lack of the ability to finance, construct or refine concepts to practical application. NCSD has a role to play in solving these questions and bringing forward suitable beneficial solutions for global review.
NCSD firmly adheres to the idea that the newest solution is not always the best and traditional approaches, as modified to meet new challenges, have much to offer. NCSD is results oriented and believes in taking action to put our resources behind the things we care about: Education, Energy and the Environment.
Through demonstration projects - the economic benefits that accrue to local, provincial and national communities once sustainable resource use practices are in place that ensure standards of human health and safety and promote economic prosperity. We undertakes projects and programs that will inform, educate, demonstrate and share practices that are locally responsible and that encourage communities to create jobs and stimulate economic benefit while embracing a low carbon future.
