The Junior League Of High Point

The Junior League of High Point, Inc. (JLHP) is an organization committed to supporting women, children and education in our community. We make the largest difference in the High Point community by focusing on our members first. We strive to empower them to be the difference they want to see in their personal lives, our community and the world. The JLHP creates a sense of community that our members enjoy being a part of and are proud to promote and grow. Our programs, events, and fundraisers are designed to engage our members' personal interests and passions. In 1928 a small, but powerful group of dedicated women formed the Junior League of High Point and in 1952 the JLHP became a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI). The sole purpose was to train women to build a better, stronger community in High Point. For more than 88 years, the league has grown our involvement in the community. Our organization of diverse women continues to support a wide variety of programs to empower women and children through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. The JLHP reaches out to women of all races, religions, and national origins who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to voluntarism for membership. The Junior League of High Point, Inc. is classified as a public charity under section 509(a)(2) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Junior League is also exempt under section 501c(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Our Mission: The Junior League of High Point, Inc. is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. Our Vision: Our members have a shared vision of the organization, which is to be a catalyst for community change by empowering women who are passionately focused on the health, education, and welfare of women and children.
