The Inclusion Practice was built on the experience of knowing what it feels like to be on the outside. As a queer, transgender individual, I learned early on that systems were not set up to include me and policies did not always protect me -- even in places that celebrate diversity. My personal experience inspired me to partner with companies and organizations that are working to transform their values into actions. The Inclusion Practice is dedicated to creating inclusive workplaces that celebrate, invest in, and protect all employees. Workplaces that embody these values ultimately have better outcomes because employees feel they can authentically engage and share ideas. This results in stronger decisions informed by multiple, diverse perspectives.
My background in recruitment and retention, communications, and inclusive human resources policies provides me with critical insights and adaptable tools to help companies live their values. The Inclusion Practice is committed to meeting companies and organizations where they are in their diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) journeys. The practice leads with empathy and understanding, and move at the speed of trust. The Inclusion Practice begins every projects by asking clients what they want to learn or achieve, and then together we work to develop and implement a customized approach that meets the needs of the organization or company. At the end of every engagement, The Inclusion Practice provides clients with clear next steps for increasing inclusion by working to build the confidence and skills to implement new solutions. It is encouraging to see so many companies prioritizing inclusion, putting ideas into action, and ultimately setting precedent for their fields.
