The mission of The INN Between is to put an end to vulnerable people dying on the streets of Salt Lake by providing a medical respite and end-of-life care for the unsheltered. We provide a home environment with all basic needs, improved access to medical care, transportation to medical appointments, 24/7 oversight, therapies that reduce pain and anxiety, activities that improve quality of life, and comprehensive social, emotional and spiritual support to help people either recover from illness or experience the end of life with dignity.
The INN Between was launched in August 2015 to fill a gap homeless services for people who are terminally ill or medically frail. We serve up to 50 daily including homeless individuals and people who are unsafe at home because they lack the caregiver support that is critical at the end of life.
